Dear Internet Neighbors,
As you know, Sunday, April 4th is Easter. This is when we celebrate the most important event in human history - the resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Maranatha Baptist Church invites you and your family to come and celebrate Easter with us.
We will have special services throughout the week and we hope you will be able to join us.

Sunday Morning: Reaching the Mountaintop #5
Continuing in our series on reaching the mountaintop, we learn not to forget our road map (the Bible).
Announcements:
- Youth Party: Youth in 6th Grade and up are invited to the party on Friday night. There will be games, food, and lots of fun - and a few surprises! It's a great opportunity to invite friends. Starts 8:00pm at the church.
Sunday Morning: Reaching the Mountaintop #4
Pastor Webb reminds us that climbing a mountain (even spiritually) is hard. We need to pace ourselves in order to stay strong for the long haul.

Sunday Morning: Reaching the Mountaintop #3
Pastor Webb explains the important step of saying goodbye to the things that hold us down in our spiritual walk.
Announcements:
- Youth Trip to DC: This Saturday there will be a youth trip to DC. Meet at the church at 1:30pm to go. If its a nice day we will visit the monuments. If not, we'll go to a museum. Please wear comfortable shoes and bring a jacket. If you would like to buy a snack, please bring a few dollars.
- Fall Bible Conference: Start planning now to attend the Fall Bible Conference. It will begin Friday, October 16, and end with a Dinner and Concert on Sunday, October 18. The theme this year is: "Be Extraordinary!" Invites are available.
Sunday Morning: Dean Blood and Family
This morning we had a great day of worship with Dean Blood and family. Best wishes to him and his family as they start afresh in the city of Juneau. Update: audio to his message from Matthew is up!

- New Series on Sunday Nights: We are just beginning our new series on the book of Hebrews on Sunday night. Come join us as we study this most fascinating book that points us to things that are "better".

The second in the series on reaching our spiritual mountaintop.
Announcements:
- Dean and Julie Blood, and family, will be with us for Sunday School and Morning Service on Sunday, September 27th. Plan to come and hear what the lord is doing through them in Alaska.
- Hiking Trip: This Saturday (9/26) we will leave the church at 1:30pm and return around 5:30pm. Please wear comfortable shoes for hiking and a light jacket in case it is a cool day. Water and snacks will be provided.

Starting a new series on how God will lead us to higher places in our Christian life.

- This Saturday (9/19/09) there will be a work day. As always, there will be both inside and outside work, and jobs for all skills and abilities. Everyone is encouraged to come and help prepare the church for the fall and winter activities.
